Once we got to the airport, I was driven around to the tarmac to a sleek private jet. I knew that Jordan Evan was an up and coming gay action hero and had recently been nominated for a Golden Globe, but to shell out this kind of dough to get laid, he must be doing better than I had thought.

The jet was fantastic. Sleek inside with three luxurious chairs on either side and a small card table. A flight attendant was also aboard to see to my needs. Unfortunately, she didn’t suit any of my needs. That was probably done on purpose. Didn’t want to run the risk of your date having sex with the flight crew on the way over.

I would never!

The whole flight only took a few hours because we had tailwinds on our side. It was the best time I had spent on a plane in a long time.

Aside from the flight attendant, I was the only passenger, and I wouldn’t have minded if the flight did take seven hours because there was plenty for me to do. I watched a movie, ate breakfast, and listened to music.

I admit I couldn’t help but find myself thinking of Bogart and hoping that he was okay. I knew the morning would be the most confusing for him—as it is for many—when he woke in a strange place then recalled that I wasn’t there.

We landed, and the stewardess (Pam was her name) handed me a coat and scarf. “You’ll need these.”

“Oh, thanks,” I said.

I shrugged the bulky coat on and could have fucked Pam I was so thankful to her when the door to the jet opened and a blast of ice cold air filled the cabin.

I was shuffled into a waiting SUV and driven up through the mountains.

It was fucking beautiful, huge pines of every variety surrounded me—white pine, spruce pine, Ponderosa. The woods seemed endless and covered in billowy white.

“It’s cold as shit.” I said up to the driver, a young Hispanic guy.

He looked at me in the rearview. “This is blizzard weather.”

“Yeah. Wait, what?”
